Arvada Cemetery Tour 2008

Catherine Walter as Thomas Sellman

Proud AHS Member Catherine Walter managed an almost spooky representation of Arvada pioneer Thomas Sellman.

Baby graves in Arvada Cemetery

An unnamed baby of the Beeman family and infant Walter Bradley were buried on a lonely hilltiop miles from the town of Arvada in 1863, becoming the first graves in the Arvada Cemetery.

Scott Staley as Albert Barth

AHS President Scott Staley reprised his 2004 role as influential Arvada businessman Albert Barth.

Michael Thompson as Benjamin Wadsworth

AHS Board Member Michael Thompson portrayed Benjamin F. Wadsworth, a co-founder of Arvada.

Frank and Murrel Gill

AHS Board Member Deb Williams told the story of Frank and Murrel Gill and how their family influenced early Arvada.

Nancy Young as Friz Sedlmayr

Diminuitive AHS Board Member Nancy Young had to go to great lengths (heights?) to portray 6 foot plus, 300 pound Fred "Fritz" Sedlmayr.

Anita Marcussen as Harold Carver

Anita Marcussen told about Man of the Year Harold Carver.

Look for next year's Cemetery Tour on the last Saturday of September.

A special thank you to Bob Whitfield, CEO of Hi Country Wire and Telephone, for being our major sponsor.
