Our tours this year will highlight veterans of World War I, in recognition of the United States entry into the war in 1917.
The life and times of a few of these veterans will be revealed by presenters at each gravesite. At least 52 WW I veterans are buried at the Arvada Cemetery, and many returned from war to make significant contributions to their home town.
Our tour guides will share the history of the Arvada Cemetery as they lead you to the highlighted gravesites. Along the way, learn about Arvada notables buried here, including the first burial – Baby Beeman in 1862 – and Arvada’s founder, Benjamin F. Wadsworth.
Refreshments and water provided at no charge.

The first guided tour begins at noon, with additional tours starting every 30 minutes thereafter. The last tour will begin at 2:30 pm. Each tour lasts a little over an hour.
